Souvenirs and Baby Quilt
I am still trying to figure out this Blogging thing, and uploading pictures never works out quite like I want it to. Anyway, here are the pictures of the Lladro missionaries we purchased as a souvenir of our trip to Spain.
And here is one of the porcelain plates. We gave the others to family and friends. Aren't they beautiful!
I have been working on this baby quilt for our soon-to-be-born granddaughter. I took a class in free-motion quilting with Cami at Bernina a few weeks ago. It is rather frightening to "draw pictures and designs" on a quilt that has taken hours already to piece, but my confidence grew with each successful motif, and this is the result--or the back part of it.
This is a close-up of one of the furry animals. They are all made of minky, flurry, sherpa or fleece and created with my Bernina embroidery machine.
And this is the entire quilt. I sewed the binding on during our trip to Logan earlier this week, so Julie got to see the finished product. The best response, however, was from Henry. He loved touching or petting each of the animals and saying, "Soft bunny, soft puppy", etc.
